Managing invisible physical and mental health challenges, especially cycle breaking, is brutally difficult work and it can require a lot of rest. But resting is difficult to do in a colonial society where it's viewed as lazy and irresponsible.

Decolonizing your mind allows you to challenge this narrative and begin to recognize that everything is interconnected. Rest is medicine for the body and soul, and by fostering a balanced approach to working hard and resting, you can attain all of your goals and avoid burnout at the same time.

At Moonstate, we encourage rest as a way to facilitate a balanced approach to life and tackling your goals. The New Moon is a time for intention-setting and aligning with your deeper personal goals.

As the New Moon waxes into the Full Moon we work hard on reaching our goals. As the Full Moon wanes into the New Moon, we lean into self-care and reflect on the work we've accomplished.
